We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our team who will be responsible for maintaining financial and accounting services in order to meet legislative requirements and ensure the proper financial management of Cairn Housing Association.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:
- Production and review of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts
- Management and production of the monthly management accounts process
- Lead in the production of the annual statutory accounts
- Manage the treasury management function and plan cash flow forecasts
- Manage and maintain monthly ledger control reconciliations
- Deliver quarterly VAT returns in line with current HMRC guidelines
- Provision of advice and support to budget holders in all areas of budget management
- Responsible for the development of financial models
- Lead on the system functionality to capture and improve efficiencies in finance processes across the organisation
- Management, development and motivation of a small team in line with departmental goals
- Lead in the production of benchmarking data
- Manage formal processes across by conducting investigations or hearing disciplinary and appeals, where required, to ensure an impartial, prompt and confidential approach is taken and fair outcomes are delivered, in line with employment legislation, best practice, and HR policies and procedures
Requirements – What We’re Looking For:
- Part Qualified accountant as a minimum or related similar level of experience
- Able to demonstrate effectiveness of financial control and management accounts reporting
- Experience of working in the housing sector
- Experience with developing and managing staff performance and also building relationships across departments and sites to improve communication and understanding
- Disclosure Scotland and Right to Work checks are mandatory for this role
