About the Role: At Madison Cairn and Cairn Group, we are proud to deliver best-in‑class hospitality and investment opportunities through strong commercial performance and robust financial management. As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting statutory reporting, financial analysis, and wider corporate finance activities across our growing portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to develop expertise across statutory accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, FP&A, and investment support within a dynamic and fast‑paced business. Working closely with the Group Financial Reporting Manager and wider finance team, you’ll provide valuable financial insight that supports strategic decision‑making across both Cairn Group and Madison Cairn operations. You’ll also gain exposure to investment analysis, due diligence, and portfolio performance reporting, helping to shape informed business decisions across leisure, hospitality, PBSA, and BTR assets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support statutory reporting, consolidations, year‑end accounts preparation, and audit processes across group entities.
  • Assist with corporation tax reporting, compliance schedules, and adviser liaison.
  • Prepare accurate financial analysis, variance reporting, and portfolio performance insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning activities across the operating portfolio.
  • Analyse hotel KPIs and financial performance drivers including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, payroll ratios, and departmental margins.
  • Assist with due diligence activities for acquisitions and investment opportunities.
  • Support investment committee reporting and presentation preparation.
  • Produce monthly and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across finance, operations, and commercial teams to improve reporting processes and business insight.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, compliance, and professional conduct at all times.

About You: You’ll be a motivated, detail‑driven finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in producing accurate, insightful financial reporting. You’ll also bring:

  • A relevant accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or AAT Level 4.
  • Experience within financial reporting, audit, statutory accounting or corporate finance.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and challenging where appropriate.
  • A genuine interest in continuous learning and development.

Experience within hospitality, real estate, FP&A, or operational reporting would be highly advantageous.
