We are a catering events business that incorporates several different brands within it. The Fendale Group comprises Caiger & Co, Spoilt for Choice, The Pie Man, Sophie Wright Catering and Archies. We deliver a diverse range of events, from private weddings and bespoke dinner parties for high-end corporate clients to workplace catering and more cost-conscious options. About You
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and creative Events Manager to join our team in Battersea. You will take ownership of events from initial client enquiry through to on-site execution and post-event analysis. Working closely with our directors, kitchen team, event planners, and suppliers, you will ensure every event is delivered with precision, flair, and high operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Client Relations
- End-to-End Management: Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of a wide range of events, including high-end corporate dinners, private weddings, and major annual fixtures.
- Client Consultation: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, taking detailed briefs, preparing bespoke proposals, and leading menu tastings.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong ongoing relationships with private clients, corporate partners, key venues, and suppliers.
- Operations & Logistics
- On-Site Execution: Oversee setup, live event execution, floor management, and breakdown, maintaining high service standards throughout.
- Kitchen & Service Coordination: Work closely with our head chefs and kitchen operations team to ensure seamless food service and menu delivery.
- Logistics & Supplier Management: Source and manage external vendors, including equipment hire, florist partners, AV technicians, and transport logistics.
- Team Leadership & Administration
- Staffing: Oversee event staffing requirements, briefing and leading front-of-house teams and floor supervisors during events.
- Mentorship: Support and delegate administrative tasks to the Events Assistant.
- Financial Management: Build event budgets, track expenditure, generate client invoices, and conduct post-event financial reviews to ensure profit targets are met.
About You & Key Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of event management experience, ideally within high-end catering, hospitality, or luxury events.
- Hospitality Background: Hands-on experience in high-volume, premium food and beverage environments or private client events.
- Organisational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, razor-sharp time management, and the ability to multitask across multiple live projects.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to lead on-site teams, negotiate with suppliers, and present to high-profile clients.
- Problem-Solving: Calm under pressure, highly adaptable, and a practical approach to on-site troubleshooting.
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic financial tracking toolsets.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
