Kick-start your career in international business and marketing. CAI International is looking for a motivated school leaver or recent graduate to join our Global Marketing team. This role is designed for someone looking to begin a career in international equipment leasing and marketing. The successful candidate will receive training and mentoring while developing an understanding of commercial processes, customer service, contract administration, and inventory management.
The Graduate/Trainee Junior Business Associate will support the Marketing team by assisting with customer enquiries, lease administration, reporting, and general marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Marketing team with day-to-day customer relationship activities.
- Support the preparation of lease quotations under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Help maintain customer records and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with contract administration, renewals, and documentation.
- Monitor and update reports relating to equipment availability and inventory.
- Assist with compiling sales and marketing reports and analysing basic trends.
- Support the completion of customer onboarding documentation and internal administrative processes.
- Help prepare customer proposals and supporting documentation.
- Develop an understanding of credit and risk assessment procedures by assisting with documentation.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues across regional and head office teams.
- Participate in projects designed to improve processes and customer service.
- Attend training sessions and actively develop knowledge of the business and industry.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as experience develops.

- Educated to A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent qualification.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Interest in international business, logistics, shipping, or equipment leasing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
This trainee role is intended to provide the knowledge and experience required to progress into a position within the Marketing group as skills and experience develop. This is a hybrid role based at our Essex office. Employees are required to work from the office four days per week, with one designated remote working day each week. The remote working day is a fixed day determined by the business and is not flexible, unless otherwise agreed to meet operational requirements.
