THE ROLE
Permanent, full-time, PAYE employed position at senior level - this is not a self-employed role.
Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (or 8:00am-4:30pm). Some flexibility may be required depending on project needs; the salary covers reasonable overtime.
Projects across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, and North and West London.
Six-month probation period. Notice: 1 week during probation, 1 month thereafter.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Carrying out high-quality carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building works.
Working professionally both independently and alongside other trades.
Communicating confidently with clients, architects, designers and property managers.
Being punctual and reliable, keeping clean and safe working areas, and representing Cahill Bespoke Construction positively at all times.
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A recognised trade qualification (carpentry or similar).
- Up-to-date Health & Safety certification.
- A clean UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
A safe, off-street place to park the company van overnight (not a paid parking space).
The company vehicle is a fully electric Ford Transit Custom, so ideally you will be able to have a home EV charger installed at that parking space.
- PAY AND BENEFITS
- £40,000-£45,000 per annum, paid monthly by BACS. Income tax and National Insurance deducted at source under PAYE.
- 28 days holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
- Statutory Sick Pay in line with current legislation.
- Training and development supported as required.
- Signwritten fully electric Ford Transit Custom company van, charge card and uniform provided.
- TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
We provide: the van - a fully electric Ford Transit Custom (tracked, alarmed, with tool safe) - plus a charge card, public liability insurance, vehicle repairs and breakdowns, PPE, ladders and step ladders, and uniform T-shirts, jacket and fleece.
You provide: your own hand tools and power tools (drills, hoover, laser level, angle grinder, reciprocating/skill/jig/plunge saws, planer, sander, router), work trousers, steel toe cap footwear, and a smartphone - works are issued through our app.
You will be responsible for up to the first £250 of any damage or insurance excess on the vehicle while it is in your possession.
A formal Contract of Employment is signed at the start of the role, before commencing any works or receiving the company vehicle.
