Job Summary
Working as part of the EMC team, you will be a key member, assisting the day-to-day activities and technical operations. You will work alongside EMC Engineers, technicians, and external clients to ensure all testing activities are carried out correctly and efficiently. Due to the interaction with external clients, customer-facing skills, along with written and verbal communications, need to be of the highest order. While this test lab covers various sectors of EMC testing, there is a strong focus on automotive EMC, so more experience in this area would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- First line technical support for all operational and test procedures
- Supporting all senior engineers to help with the smooth day-to-day running of the lab
- Technical back up to the EMC Technical Manager
- Customer liaison
- Supporting sales with resource and costing information
The Person:
- A degree or HND in a related subject or a good level of experience (greater than 5 years) within a similar EMC testing position
- A good understanding of EMC standards with automotive standards being a distinct advantage
- The ability to assist and mentor team members
- Previous experience with collating test results and report writing
- Great organisational skills
- A flexible attitude and open to change
