Operations Manager - Environmental
Contract: Permanent full-time

A fantastic opportunity to join an established global test organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join an existing team of environmental engineers and technicians. This department is expanding its workload and hence an increase in headcount is required.
The position would suit an experienced environmental test engineer who is looking to move into team management. You will be working with the very latest in environmental test equipment to carry out various environmental tests such as thermal shock, humidity and temperature cycling amongst others.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day Environmental Test business operations
- Create and manage budgets and forecasts
- Identify best practice to improve quality
- Examine financial data to reduce costs and increase profitability
- Purchase test consumables, tooling and equipment
- Support expansion of facilities and services, scoping and planning
- Analyse markets and plan business strategy to increase the test services offered
- Evaluate business cases and proposals
- Perform quality controls
- Promote good health, safety, and environmental practice throughout the site.
Qualifications/skills:
- The minimum qualification for this position is a HND or equivalent in business management or a related field.
- Good knowledge of business management including finance budgeting is highly desirable.
- At least one year of operational management experience in a related sector.
- Good team management skills are essential.
- A native speaker or clear and precise command of the English language is essential.
