Overview Operations Manager – EnvironmentalContract: Permanent full-timeSalary: Competitive – DoEA fantastic opportunity to join an established global test organisationWe are looking for an enthusiastic person to join an existing team of environmental engineers and technicians. This department is expanding its workload and hence an increase in headcount is required.The position would suit an experienced environmental test engineer who is looking to move into team management.You will be working with the very latest in environmental test equipment to carry out various environmental tests such as thermal shock, humidity and temperature cycling amongst others.Responsibilities Manage the day to day Environmental Test business operationsCreate and manage budgets and forecastsIdentify best practice to improve qualityExamine financial data to reduce costs and increase profitabilityPurchase test consumables, tooling and equipmentSupport expansion of facilities and services, scoping and planningAnalyse markets and plan business strategy to increase the test services offeredEvaluate business cases and proposalsPerform quality controlsPromote good health, safety, and environmental practice throughout the site.Qualifications/skills The minimum qualification for this position is a HND or equivalent in business management or a related field.Good knowledge of business management including finance budgeting is highly desirable.At least one year of operational management experience in a related sectorGood team management skills are essential.A native speaker or clear and precise command of the English language is essential.Benefits 25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension Scheme (5% employee contributions + 4% employer contributions)Life Assurance (post-probation)Free Parking
