Overview
The Company
A privately owned and long established, well respected organisation based in the south of England.
Specialising in the supply of high end technology and leading edge RF/Microwave products. With an extensive range that covers components and sub-systems which are used in both the military/aerospace and commercial sectors.
The Role
The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for sales of RF & microwave products and system solutions. This will be achieved by maintaining high level communication with existing customer base and by continually increasing customer database using all sales techniques and tools available. The candidate needs to have a strong technical knowledge in a RF/Microwave related subject.
Sales experience is not essential but a genuine desire and drive to succeed is. This role is varied and an adaptive mind set is required to handle sales from small components through to sub systems and possible turnkey solutions.
This is a challenging role that requires communication at all levels from end user engineers and Technicians through to top level senior management and board members.
A willingness to travel (approx. 60%) is required as the customer base is spread across the north of England & Scotland.
Primary Duties
- Maintain contact with existing base of customers to keep on top of new opportunities.
- Search for new potential customers in appointed regions of responsibility.
- Developing high quality technical responses and price quotations/proposals to present to the customer
- Provide regular visit reports with necessary actions and update company database with activity dates.
- Report back into the company with both market and forecast information.
- Look to continuously improve market and technology understanding.
The Person
- Probably a graduate engineer who has been working well within a high-end technology company for the past 1-2 years. Will be driven and hardworking and confident in his/her ability.
- A good listener with a social and likeable character.
- An educator who possesses the ability to ask for something when needed (an order)!
The Rewards
- Salary range β Β£35k β Β£45k + commission + car allowance
