We are looking for a very rare breed…..the nocturnal EMC Shift Engineer! Night shifts 10:00pm – 10:00am on a ‘4 shifts on, 4 shifts off’ basis. Working for a global test organisation, you will be responsible for providing support to a team of test technicians. As a group, you will be focused on delivering a quality testing service to the many existing and new key customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to Test Technicians at all stages of various EMC projects.
- Prepare, set up and test processes to ensure efficiency of testing at all times.
- Work closely with other EMC Shift Engineers and Technicians to expedite projects; problem solving to ensure a smooth and consistent workflow.
- Accurately record results, following company quality procedures and provide clear, concise communication at the end of shifts.
- Check test data and outputs to identify errors or issues, addressing quickly and efficiently wherever needed.
- Maintain close liaison with the Project Manager and Team Leader to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the agreed timescales.
- Ensure reports are compiled correctly and meet expectations of all involved.
- Carry out technical training, if and when required.
- Support with conducting testing as required.
The Person
- HND or an equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge of EMC testing requirements within a TIC Test House environment.
- Working knowledge of EMC specification and accreditation requirements.
- Electrical knowledge is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- A positive attitude.
- Ability and desire to learn.
- A team player and leader.
