Overview
We are looking for a very rare breed…..the nocturnal EMC Shift Engineer!
Night shifts 10:00pm – 10:00am on a ‘4 shifts on, 4 shifts off’ basis.
Working for a global test organisation, you will be responsible for providing support to a team of test technicians. As a group, you will be focused on delivering a quality testing service to the many existing and new key customers.
Responsibilities
- As an EMC Shift Engineer you will be tasked with providing technical support and guidance to Test Technicians at all stages of various EMC projects. This will include the preparation, set up and test process to ensure efficiency of testing at all times.
- Work closely with other EMC Shift Engineers and Technicians to expedite projects; problem solving to ensure a smooth and consistent workflow.
- Accurate recording of results, following company quality procedures and providing clear, concise communication at the end of shifts.
- Check test data and outputs to identify errors or issues, addressing quickly and efficiently wherever needed.
- Close liaison with the Project Manager and Team Leader to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the agreed timescales.
- Make sure reports are compiled correctly and meet expectations of all involved.
- Carry out technical training, if and when required.
- Support with conducting testing as required.
The Person
- HND or an equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
- Working knowledge of EMC testing requirements within a TIC Test House environment
- Working knowledge of EMC specification and accreditation requirements
- Electrical knowledge is a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- A positive attitude
