Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in EMC absorber development, EMC shielding, and EMC simulation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology within a rapidly expanding team.
The position is based within the University and has been created to support a local organization focused on the EMC sector, particularly in testing environments.
This is an initial fixed-term contract for 24 months.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new EMC products.
- Conduct simulations and modeling of prototype products.
- Develop, modify, and implement hardware and software solutions.
- Perform tests and measurements, including Shielding Effectiveness, during product design, development, and production phases.
- Ensure all test equipment remains calibrated.
- Collaborate with other departments to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Identify and evaluate emerging EMC technologies.
- Maintain and update knowledge of EMC standards and regulations.
- Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with ISO9001 standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with EMC test and measurement equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with EMC standards and regulations.
- Must be eligible for Security Clearance.
