Financial Accountant- SPV & Fund Accounting in London

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our London office for a skilled Financial Accountant with experience in Financial Services, particularly in managing Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) engaged in securitisation, other capital markets transactions and fund administration. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of corporate entities;
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts as required by clients;
• Preparation of core fund accounting deliverables, including transaction bookings, NAV‑related calculations (valuations, accruals, income/expenses), capital call and distribution workings, investor allocations, fee calculations, reconciliations (bank, position, portfolio), and supporting schedules for investor and financial reporting;
• Preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. GAAP, IFRS);
• Assist in the coordination of year-end audits;
• Payments and cash flow management;
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and corporate tax declarations;
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports (e.g., CSSF, BCL, ECDF);
• Liaise with clients, investment managers, external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel and other stakeholders;
• Participate in client, board, and shareholder meetings;
• Support the team in improving processes and implementing best practices;
• Support the business in responding to client needs on an ongoing basis;
• Ensure that ethical standards and human rights principles are upheld across all areas of responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in fund or SPV accounting;
• Proficiency in E-front is desired but not essential;
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA);
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively;
• Clear communicator with a professional and client-focused approach;
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
