Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Develop new menu items and innovate existing dishes to enhance customer experience
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensure all food presentation meets quality standards and maintains consistency
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a culinary or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Skilled in food production techniques across various cuisines
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
