Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. The Chef will play a vital role in inspiring the team, managing kitchen operations, and upholding our commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Oversee food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
  • Develop new menu items and innovate existing dishes to enhance customer experience
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
  • Ensure all food presentation meets quality standards and maintains consistency
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Supervising experience within a culinary or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Skilled in food production techniques across various cuisines
  • Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Β£13.00-Β£15.00 per hour
