This is an excellent opportunity for an established Head Chef or an ambitious, experienced Sous Chef ready to take the next step.
Our menu focuses on high-quality, freshly prepared breakfast and brunch dishes, burgers, grills, sandwiches, salads and modern café favourites . We are looking for a chef who understands the demands of a busy daytime kitchen and can consistently deliver excellent food during high-volume service.
The Role As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. You will lead from the front, maintain high standards and play an important role in the continued development of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the kitchen team during busy services
Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
Managing all daily preparation and kitchen organisation
Running efficient breakfast and brunch services
Creating and developing dishes in line with the café's concept
Maintaining accurate recipes, specifications and portion control
Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships
Controlling food costs and minimising waste
Implementing and maintaining effective kitchen systems
Ensuring excellent standards of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen management
Training, developing and motivating kitchen staff
Managing kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance
Working closely with senior management to continually improve standards and performance
About You We are looking for a hands-on chef with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for quality food.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or strong Sous Chef
Experience within a busy brunch, breakfast, café, casual dining or all-day dining environment
The ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Experience with stock control, ordering and food-cost management
A strong understanding of HACCP, food safety and allergen procedures
A high level of attention to detail and consistency
The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
A hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside your team

The Ideal Candidate This role would particularly suit a chef with experience in brunch, breakfast, premium cafés, casual dining or high-volume daytime food operations .
We are looking for someone who understands that a successful brunch kitchen requires more than good cooking. You will need to be organised, commercially aware, consistent and capable of leading a team through busy services.
This is a hands-on leadership position , and the successful candidate will be expected to lead by example and take real ownership of the kitchen.
