The team missions and the role

Our mission is to accelerate sustainable subscriber growth while strengthening Readly's brand presence in the UK.

The Marketing team plays a critical role in communicating Readly's value proposition, attracting new subscribers, improving retention, and maximising the long-term value of our customer base.

We are looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead Readly's growth in the UK market.

This is a high-impact role with significant ownership and accountability.

You will be responsible for driving subscriber growth, managing marketing investment, identifying new growth opportunities and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen Readly's position as the UK's leading all‑you‑can‑read subscription service.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, is comfortable working with performance data and commercial targets, and thrives in a fast‑moving environment where creativity and experimentation are encouraged.

  • Your Responsibilities
  • Strategy, Planning & Market Ownership
  • Own the UK marketing strategy and execution plan, aligned with Readly's overall business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver full‑funnel marketing plans to drive awareness, consideration, trial and subscriber growth.
  • Own UK growth targets and contribute directly to business performance.
  • Manage marketing budgets to maximise efficiency, profitability and long‑term growth.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer insights and emerging trends to unlock future growth.
  • Campaign Development & Execution
  • Plan and execute integrated 360° campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Lead local marketing initiatives including partnerships, influencers, podcasts, PR opportunities, affiliate activity and other growth channels.
  • Work closely with creative, content and product teams to develop compelling customer propositions and campaigns.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Performance & Growth Optimisation
  • Drive subscriber acquisition, activation, retention and reactivation initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyse and optimise performance against key commercial and marketing KPIs.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly trial and subscriber targets.
  • Improve acquisition efficiency while maintaining target CAC, conversion and profitability metrics.
  • Build a strong test‑and‑learn culture through experimentation and continuous optimisation.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with Product, CRM, Brand, Commercial and Analytics teams to improve the customer journey and subscriber experience.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the voice of the UK market within the wider organisation.

Who You Are

Experienced Growth Marketer

You have several years' experience in a marketing role and a strong understanding of the full marketing funnel.

You are comfortable planning and executing campaigns across multiple channels and have experience managing budgets and commercial targets.

Commercially Minded

You understand how marketing drives business growth. You're comfortable working with subscriber targets, CAC, conversion rates, retention metrics and marketing ROI.

Data‑Driven Decision Maker

You use data and customer insights to make decisions, optimise performance and identify opportunities for growth.

You can balance long‑term brand building with short‑term performance goals and know how to prioritise opportunities that create the greatest impact.
