We are looking for an experienced Night Shift Team Leader to join our Production team in Dunstable.
The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the night operation across Warehouse, Packing and Process, ensuring the effective planning, organisation and control of resources to support the planned schedule.
You will lead and develop the night-shift teams, while ensuring a safe, efficient and well-controlled operation that meets production targets and maintains high standards of quality and food safety.

We are looking for an experienced Night Shift Team Leader to join our Production team in Dunstable.
The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the night operation across Warehouse, Packing and Process, ensuring the effective planning, organisation and control of resources to support the planned schedule.
You will lead and develop the night-shift teams, while ensuring a safe, efficient and well-controlled operation that meets production targets and maintains high standards of quality and food safety.
- Manage and coordinate the operation of Packing, Process and Warehouse during the night shift.
- Lead, motivate and develop the departmental teams, identifying training needs and supporting the development of a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Monitor performance against production plans and agreed KPIs, taking action to address shortfalls and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain high standards of GMP, product quality and food safety, including compliance with company, customer and BRC requirements.
- Ensure production lines are started up and shut down safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Manage documentation, data collection and monitoring systems, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Manage operational costs, yields and wastage, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with other shifts to support the smooth operation of the business.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience of supervising or leading a team.
- Experience of planning and coordinating operational activities.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety, quality, GMP and food safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Effective communication, leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good computer literacy and the ability to use relevant business systems and software.
Experience of BRC and customer audit requirements, SAP or similar business systems, stock control systems or Lean manufacturing techniques would be desirable.
