Network services are offering an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their team at Clatterbridge Liverpool to work with the breast MDT to lead the implementation of a new clinical model for review of CDK4 inhibitors. This is a fixed term, part time post. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

To provide expert knowledge and advice in own specialist area, ensuring maintenance of clinical excellence underpinned by evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others.
  • Develop patient pathways and be responsible for developing the nursing service.
  • Participate in quality initiatives within the division.
  • Work with the Multidisciplinary team to ensure that your cancer service complies with the national standards for safety and quality, which are assessed through National Cancer Peer Review Process and actively contribute with work plans.
  • Work autonomously and seek collaborative relationships with others across and within professional boundaries.
  • Offer advice, support and education to clinical teams across the trust and network where appropriate.
  • Offer the patient and families the skills of a Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner to discuss treatment for their cancer and provide symptom control, social, emotional and spiritual care.
  • Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers.
  • Deliver evidence based individualised patient care according to patients changing health care needs, through holistic needs assessment (HNA).
