Angela Hartnett is looking for a General Manager to join the team at Murano Restaurant in Queen Street, Mayfair. Murano is a Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, led by Angela Hartnett. For over 17 years, we have built a reputation for consistency, exceptional standards, and a strong, supportive team culture. Our cooking is Modern European with a strong Italian influence, rooted in great ingredients and expertly executed.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager with a strong background in Michelin-starred or high-end restaurants, capable of maintaining the standards expected of a Michelin-starred dining room while leading a large and diverse team. You will oversee the front of house and work closely with the Head Chef to support and coordinate the back of house, ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the restaurant.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be on the floor during service, leading by example, ensuring that every guest receives attentive, seamless service and that our team operates efficiently under pressure. You will also be responsible for exclusive hires, private dining events, and liaising directly with clients to deliver outstanding experiences.
The right candidate will be confident, calm, and decisive - able to maintain Michelin-level standards across the restaurant while motivating and inspiring the team. You will also take ownership of day-to-day operations, including staff development, recruitment, training, rota management, stock control, and financial performance.
What we offer:
- On-target earnings: £75k per annum
- Good quality team meals at lunch and dinner
- Up to 28 days paid holiday (including service charge), increasing with length of service
- 50% off when dining in our restaurants (including drinks & starters) for you and up to five guests
- Employee Assistance Programme including 24/7 online GP, counselling and legal advice
- Wagestream – access part of your wages as you earn
- Clear opportunities for progression, training and development
- Company parties and events
- Opportunities to work at external events and festivals
- Annual supplier trips to better understand our produce
- Restaurants closed over the festive period for a proper break
If you are a confident, experienced General Manager who thrives in a high-level dining environment, values people as much as performance, and wants to lead a team in one of London’s finest Michelin-starred restaurants, we would love to hear from you.
