From £65,000 per annum. Angela Hartnett is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Murano family as Head Chef. Murano is a Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, led by Angela Hartnett. For 17 years, we've built a reputation for excellence, consistency, and a strong commitment to our team and guests. Our food is Modern European with a strong Italian influence, focusing on quality ingredients and honest cooking.
We're looking for a Head Chef with solid experience in Michelin-starred or top-tier fine dining restaurants. The right person will have a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, strong technical skills, and a sharp eye for detail. Menu development is key, working with Angela and our Development Chef, Em Brightman, to create seasonal, evolving dishes that reflect Murano's style. This is a hands-on role, leading by example in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
The Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation, managing food costs, supplier relationships, stock control, and kitchen hygiene. They must be calm under pressure, precise in execution, and able to inspire and support their team. Most importantly, we need someone who values their brigade and fosters a positive, professional environment. Building strong relationships with the team and working closely with the General Manager will be essential to Murano's continued success.
