About Cafe Linea Cafe Linea is an independent neighbourhood restaurant, bar and bakery in a 19th-century arcade on Duke of York Square, just off Sloane Square in Chelsea. Inspired by European arcade cafes and bistros, we serve produce-led menus from breakfast through to dinner, with pastries and patisserie from our on-site bakery.
The Role We are looking for a Pastry Chef at junior sous or senior chef de partie level to join our pastry team.
Our pastry kitchen is a production kitchen. Everything we offer is produced and baked in house, for the restaurant through the day and for our events and catering. The role suits someone who is at home with production work, batches and early starts.
Key Responsibilities Produce and bake our offering in house, to Cafe Linea recipes and standards
Run production for daily service, events and catering orders
Work on viennoiserie and laminated doughs alongside the head of pastry
Support the head of pastry in running the section, and lead the team on shift when needed
Keep the pastry kitchen organised, labelled and clean, following food safety and allergen procedures
About You Experience in a pastry kitchen at senior chef de partie or junior sous level
A background in production, bakery or events pastry. We value this more than years in restaurant service
Viennoiserie and bakery knowledge is a real plus, even if it is basic
Works well in a team, with clear communication and good spoken English
Available for 7am starts across the week
