We are hiring an Assistant Server Manager at SUSHI TONARI, located inside Mercato Metropolitano, London’s first sustainable community market. SUSHI TONARI is the London branch of a sushi restaurant that has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for four consecutive years in Tokyo. Located in Mercato Mayfair, we offer Edo-style tachigui (standing) sushi.
Wage: Hourly wage of £12.21 plus tips
Probationary Period: Minimum 3 Months
Requirements:
- Available to work 3–5 days/week, at least 6 hours per shift
- Availability for 20–30 hours per week required
- Able to work long-term (1 year or more)
- Immediate start preferred
- Restaurant service experience required
Working Hours:
- Shift-based between 9:30am – 10:45pm (9:30am – 9:45pm on Sundays only)
- Shifts are arranged every week — flexible scheduling!

Job Description & Ideal Candidate:
Sushi chef trainee / floor staff. You will be responsible for customer service and takeaway sushi preparation. Knowledge of sake and wine is a big plus! We are looking for people who:
