Café Anatolia is a growing cafe chain with 12 branches throughout the North Island. We have an excellent reputation for fresh, healthy, and Turkish cuisine made to order for our customers. We serve over 15,000 customers in a week with a team of over 110 employees in the group. Café Anatolia is a business of integrity and a high level of compliance for both our customers and employees.
We have several part-time and full-time positions available at our food preparation facility in Hastings, Hawke's Bay.
The main responsibilities of the Assistant Production Manager role are:
- Ensure the manufacturing plant is clean at all times
- Keep the premise hazard free at all times
- Ensure all cooking & production schedules are implemented
- Ensure all batch production procedures are adhered to
- Ensure all company policies and business procedures are followed at all times
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are implemented
- Supervise to ensure all staff members are adequately trained and performing to expectations
- Supervise to ensure all company and legal record keeping requirements are met at all times
- Supervise to ensure the company revenues are maximised by achieving production targets and reducing wastage
- Assist the Distribution Manager as required within the scope of food production
Requirements
What you will bring:
- One year’s experience in food manufacturing
- One year’s experience supervising a team
- Exceptional food preparation skills
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with minimum contracted hours of between 30 and 40 per week. We are open seven days and require applicants to be available for a range of lunch and dinner shifts across the entire week, including public holidays. Weekend availability is desired but can be negotiated.
What we are offering:
- Competitive remuneration reflective of the role and your qualifications, skills, and experience, with a base hourly rate of between $24.00 and $26.00 (gross)
- Consistent hours throughout the year with minimum guaranteed hours.
Candidate must be located in New Zealand and have appropriate work entitlements to work in New Zealand (NZ Citizen/NZ Resident/Work Visa Holder). Hospitality Franchise Group is an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand and preference will be given to NZ Citizen & Resident.
