We are recruiting for 2 roles of Police National Computer Operator in our National Business Centre covering the Coventry area. We trust and empower colleagues to work in a hybrid way, providing the resources, equipment, and support, so that individually and collectively, we can be the voice of children and young people when the family court makes critical decisions about their futures. This role is part of a team based from our office in the National Business Centre in Coventry, with the option to work flexibly and remotely once training has been completed.

As a PNC Operator you will contribute to the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of the Police National Computer systems by receiving, recording, processing and disclosing information to a high standard, whilst also responding to enquiries from authorised personnel in accordance with local and national policies.

Should you join us your tasks will include:

  • Operating the Police National Computer providing information to staff within Cafcass and outside the organisation when required
  • Assist in confidential searches and updates
  • Receive and action Level 1 & 2 requests for Police information
  • To liaise with local forces and other external stakeholders to ensure that the unit is compliant, responsive and resilient in its duties

  • A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g. NVQ2)
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced administrative role
  • Ability to use the Police National Computer systems and other databases
  • Confident and capable of using MS Office applications to a basic / intermediate level
  • Able to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment with strict deadlines
