We are recruiting for the role of Business Services Officer in our team(s) covering the Southwest area. Your work will support the local Family Court Advisers and Service Managers by ensuring the effective management and progression of cases. The role is based in the Bristol office but offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement. We are a diverse, inclusive organisation that values the voices of children and families from all backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Monitor case progression
- Receive referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team
- Create, update and close cases within our case management system
- Send letters and information packs to service users
- Identify any missing information and follow‑up as required
- Receive and deal with telephone enquiries
- Meet and greet visitors, including service users
- Provide general administrative support to the team
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in business administration (e.g., NVQ2) or willingness to work towards a qualification
- Significant experience in a similar role
- Confident and capable of using MS Office applications to a basic/intermediate level
- Clear, confident communicator via email, phone and in person
- Team‑player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Able to prioritise work in a fast‑moving environment with strict deadlines
- Interest in mental health issues (not a requirement but desirable)
