Assistant Service Manager will lead a team of Family Court Advisers, ensuring high quality practice and safeguarding of children in public and private law cases. The role includes reflective case supervision, coaching, mentoring, and maintaining professional standards within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Family Court Advisers
- Provide reflective case supervision and coaching
- Champion the values and core practice of the ‘Together with Children and Families’ framework
- Safeguard and protect the welfare of children and support colleagues to meet safeguarding standards
- Ensure quality and impact of practice standards for directly managed advisers
- Promote resilience and wellbeing at work, maintaining morale
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered with Social Work England
- Organised, resilient, and experienced in supervising, coaching, or mentoring social workers
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with emotional intelligence
- Experience managing employees with diverse professional backgrounds
