We are recruiting for the role of Business Services Team Leader in our teams covering Leeds or Manchester. We trust and empower colleagues to work in a hybrid way, providing the resources, equipment, and support, so that individually and collectively we can be the voice of children and young people when the family court makes critical decisions about their futures. This role is based in either Leeds or Manchester, but regular attendance across the offices is required. Responsibilities:
- Monitoring case progression
- Receiving referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team
- Creating, updating, and closing cases within our case management system
- Sending letters and information packs to service users
- Identifying missing information and following up as required
- Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries
- Meeting and greeting visitors, including service users
- Providing general administrative support
- Completing office-based health and safety checks, including first aid and fire marshal duties (training will be provided)
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g., NVQ2), willingness to work towards a qualification, and/or significant experience in a similar role
- Confidence and capability using MS Office applications to a basic or intermediate level
- Clear, confident communication via email, phone, and in person
- A team‑player who thrives in a team environment
- Able to prioritise work in a fast‑moving environment with strict deadlines
Pre‑engagement checks: Successful applicants will be subject to a range of pre‑engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). In accordance with the DBS code of practice and our own policy, if an individual has a declared criminal offence an individual assessment will be completed.
