The Senior QA Technician supports the effective operation of the site’s Quality Management System by executing key quality assurance activities, maintaining compliance records, coordinating audits, and assisting in the deployment of corporate quality initiatives. Working closely with the Senior QMS Engineer, the role ensures that quality processes are implemented consistently across the site and that improvement actions are followed through to closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the site’s QMS in line with corporate policies and regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits; coordinate evidence, track actions, and follow up to ensure timely closure.
- Maintain the UK MNCR system, monitor pending actions and deadlines, and support working groups in closing actions.
- Support the UK process review system and follow up on improvement actions with relevant teams.
- Monitor corporate QMS documentation updates and communicate changes to UK teams.
- Participate in process forums with HQ to stay aligned with QMS requirements and share UK input.
- Provide QMS performance updates to the Senior QMS Engineer and Head of Quality.
- Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly QMS status reports.
- Join regular meetings with HQ to report UK progress.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of Quality Initiatives in the UK.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate quality into daily operations and promote a quality culture.
- Maintain the UK asset calibration system in compliance with CAF Group standards.
- Support Special Processes compliance activities under the guidance of the Senior QMS Engineer / Special Processes Coordinator.
- Assist SQA, Production QA, and other departments by contributing to QA continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the deployment of HQ Quality initiatives in the UK.
- Carry out other duties as required by the line manager.
Qualifications
- Essential: Qualification in a Technical or Quality discipline.
- Desirable: IPC WHMA620 Requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies, ISO 9001 Auditor qualification.
