What will be your role in the company?

  • Fault finding and root cause analysis on electrical and electronic systems on a brand new, state of the art fleet of trains.
  • Use of electrical schematics, test and measuring equipment, and diagnostic software to identify the root cause of train failures.
  • Perform corrective actions on the new trains in a depot environment, adhering to all safety procedures, and using electronic management systems.

What will make you successful in this position?

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
  • HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering related discipline would be an advantage
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis experience
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams
  • Use of diagnostic software
  • Use of test and measuring equipment
  • 3 years post apprenticeship experience
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Available for shift work (Days & Nights including weekends)

What Salary will you be paid for this role?

As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively at CAF. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £59,000 per annum.
