About the Role
As Team Leader, you will manage a small team of Technicians, prioritise tasks, organise warranty repairs and liaise with customers to ensure train availability and reliability targets are achieved. You will also provide technical support, diagnose faults and perform root‑cause analysis for an advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using schematics, test equipment and diagnostic software.
Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of Technicians.
- Prioritise tasks and organise warranty repairs.
- Liaise with customers to meet availability and reliability targets.
- Diagnose faults and conduct root‑cause analysis for advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Use electrical schematics, test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Motivate and lead team to achieve results in a changing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with extensive post‑qualifying experience.
- Broad knowledge of onboard train systems and ability to detect faults.
- Experience interpreting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams and proficiency with diagnostic software, test and measuring equipment.
- Valid driver’s licence and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and night shifts.
