Responsibilities
- Fault finding and root cause analysis of electrical and electronic systems on a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art fleet of trains.
- Use of electrical schematics, diagnostic software, and test and measuring equipment to identify and resolve train failures.
- Perform corrective actions on the new trains within the depot environment, adhering to all safety procedures and using electronic management systems.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Fault finding and root cause analysis experience
- Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams
- Use of diagnostic software
- Use of test and measuring equipment
- 3 years post apprenticeship experience
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Available for shift work (Days & Nights including weekends)
Salary
As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively at CAF. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £49,000 per annum.
