The Assets, Maintenance & Repairs function is seeking to appoint two Planners (Schedulers) within the Business Team. The Planner (Scheduler) will play a key role in coordinating the day‑to‑day activities of the workforce, ensuring responsive repairs, surveys and larger‑scale planned works are scheduled and delivered effectively through the Job Management System.

The postholder will be responsible for managing appointments to ensure service standards are met and individual customer appointment times are achieved. You will manage and oversee operative and surveyor diaries using a dynamic scheduling system, allocating available work to ensure the most efficient deployment of resources. This will involve proactive planning of future workloads, taking account of workforce availability and the wider operational demands of Housing Repairs Operations and the Planned Asset Maintenance Strategy. The role is integral to delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service.

You will provide essential support to Supervisors and Managers by ensuring the workforce is fully utilised and that work is completed and updated in real time. You must have good communication skills, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a good standard of practical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider Housing function.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Good numeracy skills commensurate with operational and financial management.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
