Are you an experienced and highly organised administrator looking for an opportunity to play a central role in a unique and ambitious 3-18 school?

The Governing Body of Idris Davies School 3-18 is seeking to appoint an exceptional School Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration function of the school and coordinate our dedicated administration team.

Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will help ensure that administrative services across the school are efficient, professional and responsive. You will coordinate HR administration, compliance and business support processes whilst supporting the continued development of systems and procedures, including our transition to Arbor.

About the Role

  • Coordinate the day-to-day work of the administration team.
  • Oversee the operation of the school office and reception services.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor key deadlines.
  • Coordinate recruitment and HR administration processes.
  • Maintain personnel records and the Single Central Record.
  • Support compliance and administrative systems.
  • Coordinate the administration of Arbor and associated systems.
  • Develop and improve office procedures and working practices.
  • Support business continuity across administrative functions.
  • Provide operational updates and information to the School Business Manager.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working within a school or similarly complex administrative environment.
  • Has experience supervising or coordinating staff.
  • Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Is confident managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Has experience of HR administration, compliance or business support functions.
  • Is highly professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Is proactive, resilient and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Has strong ICT skills and enjoys developing effective systems and processes.
  • Experience of Arbor, SIMS, or other management information systems would be advantageous.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • An NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
  • The ability to organise, lead and motivate other staff.
  • Extensive experience of working in office environment at a senior level.
