Min y Mynydd Residential Home is looking for 5 casual Care Assistants to provide care and support for older adults living with dementia. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopting a person-centred approach.
Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential. You must possess a clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.
Rota patterns of work are over a 7-day period. Approximate shift times are 07:00 - 14:30 & 14:30 – 22:00.
For the role, we ask that you:
- Are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.
- Are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice.
- Are able and willing to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in duties.
