We are recruiting Maintenance Assistants Level 1 Apprentices at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours.
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 30th August 2029.
Location: Tir-Y-Berth / Various work sites across the County Borough.
Team: Housing Repair Operations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation. We pay an attractive salary of £26,824 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly County Borough Council are looking to recruit 2 x Electrical Apprentices, 2 x Plumbing Apprentices and 2 x Carpentry Apprentices. This will be an exciting opportunity for apprentices who have already completed their first year in college and are now looking for employment to allow them to complete the apprenticeship. Caerphilly County Borough Council are committed to supporting Apprentices and will always look to continue the employment on completion of the apprenticeship if there is availability.
Qualifications
- Relevant craft or trade Level 1 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Knowledge of associated building trade practices relevant to the level of training received.
- Relevant experience within a repairs and maintenance environment.
- Availability and willingness to work during an emergency situation if required.
