Caerphilly Registration Service is seeking to appoint a permanent, part-time Registration and Celebratory Services Officer, working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:45am to 4:45pm. We are looking for a professional, customer-focused individual with prior registration experience, to undertake statutory registration duties and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations administered by General Register Office and governed by the Home Office. Duties include but are not limited to, the timely and accurate registration of Births, Stillbirths and Deaths, and taking notices of Marriage and Civil Partnership. They will be required to conduct and register civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in the register office, approved premises, other licensed venues and religious buildings and perform Citizenship ceremonies. For the role, we ask that you have
- Good general education to GCSE standard.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience within provision of a public service.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend ceremonies at various locations and visit clients at their home.
