Overview

We are recruiting a Paralegal at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37

Contract Type: Full time, Fixed Term for 1 year

Location: Penallta House / Home working / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

Team: Planning Land and Highways

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

Salary: £28,598 – £31,022 per year. We offer access to training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and administration of all matters by contributing to the delivery of an efficient and effective service as part of the team by dealing with emails, mail, arranging, accepting meetings and telephone calls.
  • Develop and monitor systems in use to achieve the best possible standards of service delivery.
  • Act as a point of contact between client service departments, Solicitors, Welsh Government any other statutory bodies, and members of the public.
  • Provide support to the team in all aspects of work involved in various land related transactions including conveyancing, landlord and tenant matters, easements, boundary queries, encroachments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs grades A*-C including Welsh / English Language or equivalent Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in conveyancing, land and property law, both in the practice of the law and in administration within a legal office.
