We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant (Level 3) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 32.5 hours (Monday – Friday, 6.5 hours per day). Working weeks: 39. Contract type: 2 × Part‑Time, Fixed‑Term until 31 August 2027, Term‑Time Only. Location: Greenhill Primary School.
Salary: £21,394 – £22,453. The role provides access to training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to pupils with autism spectrum disorder.
- Assist with implementing individualized learning activities.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development within the classroom and during other school activities.
- Help with personal care and mobility needs where appropriate.
- Liaise with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report concerns promptly.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
