We are recruiting a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37. Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time. Location: Tŷ Graddfa, Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements. Team: Contracting and Quality Assurance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £44,253- £47,665 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join our well-established Community OT service.
The successful candidate will provide professional leadership, supervision and support to Occupational Therapists, while managing a varied and complex caseload. The role will involve completing specialist assessments, offering advice around adaptations, equipment and moving and handling, and promoting independence and wellbeing outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated practitioner with excellent communication and decision‑making skills. You will contribute to service development, support best practice and promote a positive learning culture, ensuring high-quality outcomes for individuals, families and carers.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A professional Occupational Therapy Qualification and Health Professions Council (HPC) registration.
- Experience of planning and implementing intervention programme.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the community to visit service users in a variety of locations.
