We are recruiting a Gas Safe Plumber at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31 st March 2026
Location: Ty Penallta
Team: Asset and Maintenance
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of Β£30,559- Β£33,366 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly Homes maintain over 10,600 homes within the Caerphilly Borough providing a customer focused reactive and planned service and are now looking to expand the team.
You will become part of a dynamic team delivering reactive repairs/planned maintenance works to our homes.
The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, evidence you have the relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate a good sound knowledge of building maintenance, good communication skills, a dynamic approach to the role and be able to lead by example.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A City and Guilds Basic Craft Certificate or an NVQ Level 2 qualification in relevant trade.
- Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) competencies for Natural gas.
- Knowledge of relevant Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety issues relating to the post.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle.
