The successful applicant will set up accounts and issue invoices for service users accessing residential and non‑residential care. A key part of the role involves monitoring individual accounts and liaising with debtors and senior officers to maximise collection rates whilst minimising financial difficulties for service users.
The post holder must possess excellent communication skills and a flexible, cooperative attitude as a large part of the role involves negotiations and discussions with debtors. Candidates need strong IT skills, organisational abilities, logical thinking, a proactive approach, and an eye for detail, with the capability to prioritise tasks according to changing demands.
Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs Grades A‑C (including Mathematics and English) or a Relevant Level 2 qualification
- An awareness of Social Services charging policies
- Previous administrative experience which includes dealing with the public
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work purposes to travel throughout the borough
