Overview

We are looking to recruit a Community Support Worker to work in the Links Community Resource Base, a day service for adults with learning disabilities who have Autism and behaviours that can be challenging. The role supports the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of individuals using a person‑centered approach to promote choice and independence while making their days enjoyable and meaningful.

Key responsibilities

  • Support individuals’ physical, emotional, cultural and social needs.
  • Promote independence and choice through person‑centered care.
  • Deliver a positive behaviour management approach, including physical interventions, as required.
  • Provide support during weekends and early evenings on a rota basis.
  • Transport individuals safely using a council‑leased vehicle when required.

Qualifications and experience

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework, or a commitment to obtain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to training availability).
  • Experience working in a learning disability setting.
  • Full UK Category B driving licence.
