We are recruiting a Teacher at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 32.50

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Pengam Primary School

We pay an attractive salary of £33,731 - £51,942 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking an inspiring and skilled Foundation Phase teacher to join the team with expertise and passion. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom practice, a deep understanding of child development and the ability to create a nurturing, ambitious learning environment both indoors and outdoors. They will champion high standards and work collaboratively with our team to drive improvement. With strong communication skills and a commitment to every child's success, they will ensure high quality teaching and learning across the phase. They will have a good understanding of the ALN Code for Wales and experience in shaping high quality, personalised provision.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Knowledge of 'A Curriculum for Wales' and its implications on teaching and learning.
  • Ability to create a challenging and effective learning environment and have effective pupil management skills.
  • The ability to be resilient under pressure and remain positive and enthusiastic.
