Overview
We are recruiting a Caretaker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
- Working hours: 7
- Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed term for 1 year
- Location: Argoed Village Hall
- Team: Sport and Leisure Services
Responsibilities
- Provide support across the organization.
- Assist with the preparation and use of the venue for user groups, including significant manual handling.
- Work outside standard daytime hours as required, including continuous evening / weekend work and late-night lock up.
- Access the Centre quickly, typically several times per day.
Requirements / Knowledge
- Good knowledge of a) health and safety, b) safe cleaning methods, c) manual handling and d) the use of mechanical cleaning appliances.
- The role involves significant manual handling in preparing the venue for use by user groups.
People / Working Arrangements
- Although employed by Caerphilly County Borough Council, the post holder will work closely with the voluntary management committee which manages the day-to-day running of the Centre.
- The ability to work alone and unsupervised.
Qualifications
- Experience in general caretaking and cleaning duties.
- Availability and ability to access the centre quickly.
