Human Resources are looking to recruit two HR Officers (one permanent and one fixed term) to work within a busy HR Business Partner Team where the ability to respect the confidential nature of the work undertaken is of paramount importance. The postholder will be responsible for the effective delivery of the HR service across the Council by providing timely advice, guidance and support to Managers, Headteachers and employees on a wide range of people management issues. As part of the Business Partner Team, the role will be key to supporting the Council's transformation and cost-saving initiatives. The successful candidate will also have line management responsibility for HR Assistants and will undertake, and where appropriate, lead on HR projects that improve the efficiency and delivery of the service.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Current working knowledge of HR policies, practices, procedures and employment law, with experience of working in an HR service.
  • A full UK Category B driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
