We are recruiting an Environmental Health Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council. This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our Pollution Control Team.

  • Working hours: 37
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Location: Ty Penallta
  • Team: Environmental Health - Pollution

Responsibilities

  • You will be tackling complex environmental issues such as noise, air quality, contaminated land and environmental permitting.
  • You will conduct monitoring, interpret data and investigate nuisance complaints as well as providing specialist advice on planning, licensing and land searches.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified as an Environmental Health Officer and registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board or with gain registration within 6 months of commencing the post.
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting legislation and associated guidance.
  • Experience of working in Environmental Health.
  • A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the county borough to attend emergency incidents and transport relevant equipment.
