The council is seeking to recruit a Communications Officer to undertake a range of duties aimed at raising the profile and promoting the reputation of Caerphilly County Borough Council on a local, regional and national level. A key part of this role is to work proactively with service areas across the authority to promote their services, enhance communication and draw out good news stories.

Key roles include:

  • Producing communications material
  • Undertaking video production work including filming, editing and initial storyboard creation

Requirements:

  • A relevant Level 3 or 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales
  • Photography/video editing skills
  • Experience within marketing/communications
  • Full UK Category B ('Cars') driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend events, launches, meetings etc.
