We are recruiting Relief Catering Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 0 Hours - This role is offered on a relief/casual, zero-hours basis, with work available as needed to support the team and cover short-term absences.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization. We pay an attractive salary of £12.65 per hour, and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are looking to appoint relief Catering Assistants to join our experienced team in preparing food and serving pupils aged 11-16 in a busy school canteen. The role will also involve helping to maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school and local authority.

Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided and a Food Hygiene Certificate course will be arranged if this is not currently held.

Qualifications:
  • A Level 2 Food Safety or ability to undertake and achieve the qualification within 3 months of appointment.
  • Ability to work precisely and effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have a strong sense of purpose.
  • Able to work at various sites throughout CCBC to meet the needs of the service.
  • Willingness to complete all relevant training.
