We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 16 hours per week - These hours will be worked on a rotating basis. Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent. Location: Ty Clyd Residential Home. Team: Provider Services.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization. We pay an attractive salary of £10,722 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Ty Clyd Residential Home is seeking to recruit 1 x 16 hour Domestic Assistant to work over a 7 day week which will include weekends and bank holidays on a rota pattern. There will be opportunities to work additional hours.
We are looking for the right person who can join our team that promotes a homely, warm atmosphere where we strive to make a positive difference to people's lives. You will be required to carry out your duties which can include working in the kitchen, laundry or cleaning in a dignified/respectful manner.
Experience of working in a care environment and knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety Act and Health and Safety would be beneficial although not essential. You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity, choice etc., adopt a person-centred approach and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.
Key Requirements:- The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
