Role Overview
Caecillian has been through a period of sustained growth. As a result, the business is forming three distinct business units which will be the delivery arms of the business going forward; Gas, Water Capital, and Water & Wastewater Reactive Works. The new structure aims to enhance collaboration, streamline processes and support both our current operations and future ambitions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our journey and help shape the organisation as we move into the next phase of development.
As Head of Water & Wastewater Reactive Delivery within our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Caecillian’s reactive business. Your key responsibilities will be to manage and execute all of Caecillian’s reactive works that span Water R&M, Waste Water R&M, Leakage and Plumbing Works across a number of different clients and geographic regions. Correctly resourcing works, maintaining efficiencies and delivery within KPI’s is key, whilst building on existing relationships to grow the business unit further. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling this growth, ensuring Caecillian continues to deliver safe, reliable and innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the delivery of all reactive works within the business, ensuring alignment with Caecillian’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring a regular daily rhythm is in place across all teams, so that works are resourced correctly and delivered within correct timescales so all KPI’s are achieved.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver works safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaborative working and effective delivery.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice, supporting Caecillian’s commitment to sustainability and value for money.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and safety.
- Monitor and report on KPI’s, risks, and performance metrics to the board of directors and other relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project delivery.
- Maintain a risk register for the business unit highlighting any risks and mitigation actions in place.
- Look to grow the business unit over the coming years with a target of achieving c. £20m of annual revenue whilst maintaining margins in line with the business plan.
- Full profit and loss responsibility for the business unit.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leading high volume low value work within the water and waste water sector.
- Proven track record of winning work and growing a contract or business unit.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and best practice in infrastructure delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Must have experience working with the Water Companies and Large Tier 1 Contractors within the UK and have existing relationships with individuals within one or more of these organisations.
- Track record building on resources and mobilisation of new contracts.
- Possess good IT skills with the ability to use common applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and across business units.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.

- Ability to work across the North of England with regular travel between operational depots and work sites.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging between £80,000 and £100,000 based on experience along with a bonus and comprehensive benefits package including company vehicle or car allowance.
